Restless Mind
Every night I fall asleep,
I feel you at my side,
and every morning I wake up,
y o u ’ r e s t i l l t h e r e i n m y m i n d.
Every morning I struggle
to break free from your hold on me,
so strong, too strong,
for someone I c a n n o t e v e n s e e.
When I think you’re gone,
you’ll come back later that day,
and pull me back into that daydreaming trance;
w o n ’ t y o u p l e a s e g o a w a y ?
At first it was nice,
having you there,
in a place called f a n t a s y,
where no one would stare.
But that other world b l i n d e d me,
from the one I’m meant to be.
It all started slow
